I just picked up a couple Lohman Thunderdome slates. Can you give me suggestions on what strikers you have had success with? Thanks....
Sorry, Lohman Thunder dome. Spell check got me....
I always used the carbon striker that comes with them, did you get the carbon Striker ? ... that carbon striker plays pretty good with them...
Yes, I have the carbon striker. Sounds solid, will test it out. Thanks for the info...

Anywhere form 50 - 100 dollars , just depends on how bad someone wants one ... the ones with no writing or turkey on the bottom are the older ones and are the first ones made, so in my opinion they are worth more than the ones with the gobbler on the can .... less were made with the plain bottoms ....
I just saw one go on eBay for 140 with original carbon striker. I think it had the original packaging...
Slate are usually cheaper ones ...
Yes, thanks. I will try and pick up the glass and aluminum...
I like the carbon striker for the crystal thunderdome. For my slate thunderdome I like the fred cox snowgoose striker and a rosewood striker sound the best.
Thanks so much for the update on the strikers....
I have a crystal Thunderdome that I sometimes still hunt with and one that is still in the package.
Wow, there is one on eBay in package for 115.00. Hold on to that one...
A few years back, I saw one go for $400.
They are a good call. I have a buddy that only hunts with a Crystal Thunderdome. Has for years.
I got lucky and picked up a Thunderdome Aluminum surface. Has the best sound so far. I have only ever seen this one. I use the carbon striker and a Stuckey Ebony with it. Will be in the vest for sure. Thanks
In package, easily 175$
