Title: IC .555 TSS 7 or 7.5
Post by: thundrchikin on March 18, 2021, 11:56:57 AM
Just wondering if anyone has shot either the Fed #7 or Apex 7.5 through a Indian Creek .555. I see alot of folks are shooting 9s through them with awesome success just curious about the little bigger shot..Thanks

.555 jebbs in my 20ga 870 was mid 130 in the 10" @ 40yrds

The cheap .570 promos did a tad better...mid 140s
Ive been reading a lot on here about the .570s being a better go... for the numbers anyway, both for 9s and 7s.
I like 7s so ill likely never shoot 9s

note: i didn't shoot at 20 so I'm wondering how tight it'll be, may be too tight for my taste.

I shoot that choke and shell combo. I shoot it out of SX3 with a 26" barrel. Awesome results with 7,7.5's and 9's. With federal and apex out of that gun there really isn't much difference in the patterns. The apex's do a little better but they have an eighth ounce more shot too. I hope this helps you. Good luck!
