The call design I've always been most obsessed with is Roanoke style calls, maybe just me being a twelfth generation North Carolinian or maybe just loving the idea of a single call thrown in a coat pocket and hitting the hardwoods. Anyhow, I asked Charlie Trotter to try his hand at a Roanoke and this is what he came up with. It's black linen micarta and titanium. Thing has a piles of volume and pop, and carries a lot of rasp. This is the first take down call he's ever made, and obviously the first Roanoke. Talk about a real trophy to add to the collection.

Like that one! Agree on beauty of carrying one call. Hunted four days for fall turkeys last week, only had a Bott adjustable trumpet around my neck.
