Title: My sons Louisiana bird
Post by: handcannon on March 30, 2013, 04:08:36 PM
Had an awesome hunt this morning with my son. He flopped this three year old that was toting a 10 3/4" beard and 1" spurs. Wish I would have thought to weigh him. It was a hunt to remember.

Congrats!!!

If you hadn't said Louisiana, I would have thought that was SC by looking at the background.

Yeah.....we have a bunch of pine timber too. I always get a kick out of folks that think the state has nothing but cypress trees in water and that we all have to navigate in boats because there are no roads. Not that you were implying that but have heard it before. It shocks people to hear that in northern LA. the biggest industry is pine timber. They don't do too well in real wet places. I blame the tv and movie industry! LOL!!

ps....Congrats to your son on the fine bird!

Congrats on getting your son a bird.  Brings back some memories.  I have a picture taken in the Kisatchie Forest in Claiborne Parish that looks just like that road!
