What makes a "high" and "low" side? Is it the thickness of the sides? Is it the thickness of the top of the rails?
I really appreciate any tips ya'll can give.
Ozark,
Typically the radius and wall thickness has a large play in the high and low sounds a box call creates. The thicker the walls the higher the pitch. Thinner walls creates a lower pitched call. Check out the article on the THO forum under turkey call tutorials titled "What determines the rollover sound on the box call". There is some great content in that article.
