I always try to place them so the gobbler with circle around to the front or always going away from the direction i think the gobbler will come from.

I've killed plenty of turkeys in my 25 years of turkey hunting and not a single one has been in front of a decoy. Never, not a single one! I carry them from time to time if I'm hunting a plot or plan to go setup on a road after a rain but those instances may be twice a season so yeah I'm just looking ahead at my weather and trying to maximize my hunt since I've hunted almost every day of the season and know what the birds are or aren't saying for better and the crappy weather we've had

Step 1.   Put stake in ground in a position you choose to shoot towards.
Step 2.   Put fake on stake.
Step 3.   Sit down in you set up. Note....see step 1
