Bought myself a new Mossberg sa20 and a vortex venom 3 mil. A friend looked it over and ask me this...Will a gobbler spot the reflection from glass on Vortex? Well Vortex users, is this a problem? Has anyone been picked off by the glass shine? I never thought about it until he pointed it out to me. Now I'm curious. Not that I'm going to get rid of it now!!!!

Thousands upon thousands of birds have died using the Burris Fast Fire sights and models like them, so I doubt you'll have a problem...???????
Big Al's "Take-em" Style Silhouette decoys Pro-Staff.

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind te most.

Never had a bird spook from any red dot. I've been using various red dots for close to 20 years now.  Vortex Venom is what I use now. You are going to love it.

Burris makes and provides a shroud for their FF3 that may be left on in hunting and shooting situations. It has amber-colored lens filters on each end. Those cut down on glare if someone has concerns about the uncovered reflex lens glass spooking birds. I almost always leave my FF3 cover on the sight while hunting, however, I do so for primarily for protection from rain and dust.

I'm not too concerned about possible glare, but if you are going to wear full camo and camo your gun, I can see where reflection from the sight might concern some.

Vortex also has a sight cover but theirs is not see-through. Wish it was.

If he does see it, it'll be while he's flopping and you're running to him.

That reflection is usually the last thing a long beard sees.
