My biggest is a Rio shot off the Niobrara River in Cherry County Nebraska.  It had four beards, the longest was 10 1/8" with a total beard length of 30 3/4".  One spur was 1 5/16" and the other was 1".  Weight was a hair over 25 lbs.  The same year my good buddy shot another giant Rio off the same property.  Beard was 11 1/2" but it actually had a few strands that were 14"!  It got shot in the beard and they were literally falling out as we picked it up.  By the time we got back to the house to measure everything, most had fallen out so we went with the 11 1/2" measurement.  One spur was 1 7/16" and the other was 1 3/8" and it was over 27 lbs.  Genetics must have been crazy good in that area during that time period.
