First gobbler with a .410. Heard birds on the roost, but way below me.  Small ranch and no running and gunning. It's either they come to you or no deal. Quiet after flydown for about two hours. Windy, and I heard one quite a ways off, up the canyon.  Ran the box call, but he didn't answer.  He either walked off or I couldn't hear him anymore.  About an hour later I heard one self gobble.  Again ran the call, but no response. Waited about ten minutes and did some yelping on a slate, and he was only about 75 yards up the hill.  Guess he had really cut the distance, it was gun up and show time as he ran in.  Looked like he was pealing off at 30 yards, I didn't give him a chance to get flaky. Good two year old bird.  Heard others gobbling as I walked off the hill.
