Cantilever shotgun mount for vortex viper

I'm mounting a vortex viper on an A5 with a cantilever mount  that mounts to the vent rib. Has anyone had any experience with a cantilever mount? I want a red dot on the gun, but don't want to drill it.

Aimpoint uses the rib rider for their new rib mounted sight I believe. It's not cantilever but considering how small a Viper is you may not need a cantilever rail.

I'd like to use this saddle mount. But they don't have one for the new style A5. And I may give them a call on the rib rider. Looks like they only show fitting Remington and Mossberg.

Measure the width of your rib, hopefully they will be the same size as one that they make for the models you mentioned ...good luck.

I've used B-Square cantilever rib mounts, and they work great.  I cut off the cantilever end, though.

Finally got the viper in today and threw the cantilever mount on the wicked wing.  I don't know that I'll ever be 100% comfortable with the cantilever. Im just nervous about movement of the cantilever. But.... I'll give it a shot.

But another question. Has anyone seen the browning Europe final passage A5? It looks as if the receiver is manufactured with places for a Picatinny style sight to be mounted on there. Does that look like that to anyone else? Or just the design of the receiver?
