After months of reading reviews, and bouncing back an forth, I decided to try my luck with the Nikon spur. I am super impressed. Concerned with the potential glare I intentionally lined up facing the sun. The optic couldn't have performed any better. Zero distortion and no glare. The sight tracked very well when zeroing in. I am one satisfied customer.

Are you willing to step out of the boat as Peter did?  Think about it, he wouldn't have walked on water without stepping out of the boat!

Love my Nikon products. Glad it worked for you.

Looks good. Might have to try one myself.

Is that an H&R? Does it have screw in chokes? Was tapping it easy?

It's a New England pardner 20 ga. Bill at sumtoy threaded the barrel and put a .562 choke in her. I had my local gunsmith drill and tap it for a weaver base. He had to modify the weaver base to get it to fit!  I am like a kid so excited.

Man that really looks good! I've been on the fence about drilling and tapping but after seeing yours I am gonna have to make it happen.

Let me wake this old thread up, how is the reflection from the turkey's point of view?  In the store, it looked much less reflective than most.  What is your take on the glare from that end when outdoors?

IMO any sight with glass has the potential to glare if the sun hits it just right. I did not experience any problem with that this year though.

Got one on my Stevens 301. Love it. I like that after 12 hours turns off. My eye sight not good as it us to be and small dot hard to see. :turkey2:
