I have  Gresser Hackberry call with grey slate. Killed allot of birds with that hackberry slate.

I have always heard a hole long dries much slower than it sawn and stacked.  I had some walnut milled 2 months ago and the logs sst whole for a month before.  It was so wet inside you would have thought they were cut down the same day but I did use Anchorseal on the ends.
