Pretty happy with this pattern out of the stock extra full turkey choke.  I've got a truglo ssx on order to compare.  I don't count, I just decide if it'll hunt or not!  3 inch #7 Federal Heavys.  40 yards.

He ain't gonna survive that, nice even pattern. Nice when a factory choke will kill one.  Ssx should really shoot for ya

You're gonna love that SSX!
I have one in my 20 ga Mossy Turkey Thug, and I get 150+ in the 10 ring at 40 yards with the same load, with no major gaps.

Good luck! :icon_thumright:

nothing wrong with that pattern, sometimes some of those factory chokes will surprise you
it's not the harvest,it's the chase

New choke will be here on Wednesday.  I'll post the results!

Here's the same setup with the SSX.  42 yards.  Winds were gusty and around 80 degrees.  Overall a better pattern, but not by much over the stock.

surehuntsalot

either one will certainly kill a bird....good luck

I think the SSX is much better.
I don't see any large gaps in the pattern. Very uniform, a great hunting pattern!

Agreed

Bolandstrutters

Yeah after looking at it a few more times, I agree.  Quite a bit better.

Both are great patterns but the pattern with the SSX looks more dense and even to me
