I am considering this gun, but have a couple of concerns. Is there a way to reasonably install a red dot between bbls? Am I likely to have trouble with both bbls shooting to the same point of aim? Anyone with experience or advice?

While I have no experience with the C/D version, I at one time owned a Stoeger 20 coach... Never thought about adding sights to it. I currently own a Baikal 20 coach that is better built than the Stoeger IMO. As you surmised, the POI/POA can be different barrel to barrel. I hunted rabbits with itso it wasn't an issue. You might be better off with a stacked barrel although they can vary POI quite a bit as well.
