870 26" barrel vs. 21"

This may have been asked before, but I have a 26" barrel, and is there an advantage with the 21" other than handier in the woods. I'm shooting HW 7's and a tightwad choke, and I like the combo, I just don't want to spend the dough and find it don't pattern any better than what I have!

Weight and ease of carry is bout it. The 26" barrel I had required less constriction to obtain tight patterns than my 20"
