Looks nice how does the walnut perform as a striker? I know it has good qualities as a pot.Does It have good rasp or is it a clearer note? Thanks I just haven't heard much about walnut strikers,but I love that nice dark wood

 I do not see why  black walnut  would not work for a striker, it is a hard wood,, I have seen cedar used for a striker and it is way more softer than black walnut.......

Nice striker! I've found walnut to work best on slate or anodized aluminum. :z-twocents:
