I bought a set of Irish Setter TrueTimber Kanati VaprTrek boots this month in the widest size they have but when they came in I knew I was in trouble looking at them they were so narrow, tried them on and they fit like a vise. No clue what to do now.

I use the same boots I wear for quail hunting...  Uninsulated gortex hunting boots.

I used to wear rubber knee-high boots (such as LaCrosse Grange), but my feet cook in those things, and if I decide to walk or run & gun, they are not so great.

I recently purchased these on sale at Sportsman Warehouse, and have been pleasantly surprised by them.  Comfortable and waterproof, and great for long hikes or rough terrain...  They ran a bit small for me, and I purchased about 1/2 size larger.

Did I do that?

I've  worn Danner Pronghorn snakeboots for several years, but if I am hunting where snakes are not an issue, I wear a cooler, uninsulated boot. I tried a couple of different ones and picked up a pair of uninsulated boots from Cabelas in their brand and they are extremely lightweight and comfortable and a lot cheaper than most boots. They fit and feel just like Danners and I am not so sure that Danner is not the manufacturer

Some Scarpa hiking boots I've had for almost 20 years.

Use some strap on snake gaiters to make myself feel better.

I got some from sportsman guide on clearance for $23.  Waterproof, camo, and one of the most out of the box comfortable boots I've ever owned. We'll see how long they last.

I'm swapping between three boots this season depending on where I'm hunting.

Lacrosse Aerohead Snake boots with Dan's Frog Legs snake chaps sewed in for swamps.

Lacrosse NWTF Grange Uninsulated Bottomland Rubber boots for wet conditions that shouldn't get over rubber boot height.

Keen Mid Hikers in bottomland for hill country.
