Yes u can mount it directly on there. And it's the best mount for the sbe2/sbe3.

Instructions
1) call William (sumtoy) order mount and screws
2) unscrew end cap
3) remove barrel and forensic
4) push out plastic caps at end of barrel towards stock should be 4. Only remove the closest to the butt stock or the closest 2 toward end of barrel.
5) Install barrel and forend back on and tighten end cap
6) Put sumtoy mount on barrel and screw in screws in those 2 holes. (Also order a sumtoy choke)
7) install vortex venom, ff2/ff3
8) sight in
9) wait till season
10) call in a bird
11) shoot bird

I posted these instructions because someone may need them, not posting it to be a smart epic just want to help someone who may be new or have same question! Great question.

I will when I get it mounted in a few days.  I got in touch with William and he said, "should fit it."   ;D

I do not have a picture I have sold my sbe2 and my sbe3 with mount. Let me see if my buddy can take a picture who bought gun from me. It will work though!

It's amazing how I looked around and could never find any direct awnser on this matter. That is why I am glad the question was asked, and I hope that I was able to help! I searched and searched on how to mount a ff3. And honestly I was even ignorant to the fact of how to remove the plugs. They have to be removed from the back side a small Allen wrench or a small pick or punch will pop them right out. So I hope this helps others. Some of the very first SBEII were not drilled and tapped, but mainly all of the later models and the SBEIII are.

I actually started a thread very similar to this and backwater has been messaging with me feeling me in on most of the questions but this thread is icing on the cake. Thanks!
