Tested various loads today in my SBE2 with an Indian Creek 665. Loads and yardages are labeled on each target.

Shells tested

Longbeard 3 1/2" 5's
Longbeard 3 1/2" 6's
Older HV-13 1 3/4 oz 6's 3 1/2"
Win HV 3 1/2" 5's

Did you shoot the HV-13 at 40 yards?

Longbeard 6's looks to be your best option, but in all honesty I would look at getting another choke tube.  I think you could get better density and eveness with another choke and higher numbers.  Look at the hevichoke...for the price they perform really well.

I would use the H13 - 6's or LB - 5's
The addiction will cost you time and money and alienate those close to you. I can give you the names of a dozen addicts — myself included — whose wives begin to get their hackles up a week before turkey season starts and stay mad until a week after it closes.

I would rule out the ones not made anymore regardless of how well they shoot.....unless you have a lot of them. LB #5s because of better penetration, but I would try a tighter choke. Even ifn its just .005" tighter. If your sold on the I.C. tube you can call Stuart (the owner) and he may trade out your .665 for a .660 or he even has .655.

I shot the heavyweight #6 through my new Sumtoy 660 today in my SBE1 and got 239 at 40yrds.  Although my POI was a little low I couldn't be happier, and the penetration through the tin was great.

add the Magnum Blends to your list you won't be disappointed

Spring Fever

I would go with the LB 6's
But I also might try a tighter choke in a .660 and see what it looks like.

3" Hevi 6s or 7s have done great for me.
Luck counts, good or bad.

I found the best pattern out of my sbe2 with 28" barrel and Indian Creek .665 black diamond strike, was 3" magna blend with 2oz 5,6,7...... I am no fanboy of any shell I will shoot super x silver box 5 shot if it patterned well. You way want to try a box of them magna blends man they impressed me.
