Well, Harrison gets out tomorrow for NH's youth opener!
I have located 3 birds where a friend of mine hunts, and he was gracious enough to let Harrison hunt there on Saturday!
Let's hope the kid can put one in the dirt for the team!

Thanks!
It's 31 degrees out! This is the coldest I have ever hunted turkeys in!

Good luck guys. It was in the 30's here at the first of the week and birds were gobbling hard.
Spring turkey hunting, I love it so.                FREEDOM IS NOT FREE

Well how did it go? I over slept today and didn't mind one bit. I needed to catch up a little.

It was a good morning as far as calling in birds. H called in 4 different birds to the gun, but unfortunately, they all were jakes. We had one jake so close we actually felt the drum! I have heard the spit many times, but never the drum. One of the jakes he passed on was actually shot by a first time turkey hunter, so that was very cool!
All in all, a great first day. Hopefully, the week after next will be productive for me!
