Haven't tried it yet, but at the price Cabelas had the Jake for recently, I figured why not try it...

I've heard they have a bad leaking problem, I was also interested in them but decided to put a few extra bucks in and get the avians. I'm glad I did!

I know this is an old post but I have a Suzie snood and love it. I've shot 3 long beards of her in the last 2 years and will be going after my fourth this weekend.

I bought the Snood Flock from Cabelas for $90 and I was very happy. It came with 2 hens and a jake. They are very realistic and we're pretty easy to get working. One misconception is that they leak, they do. They are supposed to. Fill the turkeys with air, stick them in the hot shower. The air pressure forms the turkey shape, and the hot water keeps it in the right shape. Just remember to close the plug while they are in the shower other wise they get some water in them. The only thing I didn't like was the stakes. They are strong, but way too long. I went and bought some wood dowels from a craft store and made my own. I painted them black and now the turkeys sit perfectly above the ground!

They look great and collapse fine. I'd rather go with a Montana for longer walks because of how it compresses though. These are something I'd use for a shorter hike.

Can't tell you how a snood works, but have been using DSD's for a while and they are awesome! Yes more money but well worth it, I have had some great results with them.

If I were buying decoys I would invest in the DSD's.
With that said I always recommend a Jake and Upright Hen for starters, I do use a strutter but there is some learning curve with him and basically with decoys in general. Can't plan to just put them out and think turkeys will come running...
