Hey Savduck, Here's my 2 cents. I dont have any exp. with the red dot or that style site but I do have exp. with their scopes. A buddy of mine bought a Smith&Wesson 45 cal rifle and the guy at the shop through in a NC Star 3x9x40 scope with the deal, well we got the gun to his house and got set-up to site it in the rest of the way( it was bore sited at the shop) after the 3rd shot the inside recticle turned and was moving around inside. We called the dealer back and he said he'd replace it, well after another couple hours we were ready to shoot it a 2nd time and this time it took 7 shots to do the same thing. The guy at the shop wouldnt replace it the second time. He said " Their not very good scopes" but he did give him the credit towards another brand scope. So good luck with them, I'd beware!

Optics are the one thing I never go cheap on, too much riding on them working every single time.

It's more of a doctor optic/trijicon copy rather than Burris (they're all practically the same design).  The only reason I say that is the lack of an on/off switch.  The version with an on/off switch that is built into the picatinny mount would make using a Marlin mount a bit challenging.

Thanks fellas. Not getting one. Just been seeing them on the net for a while, but havent seen any reviews on them. Figured with the popularity of the burris that there would be some guys trying to get something similar for less and there would be some info on them, kinda like the meuller sight thing going on.

Burris Optics.....not trying to take anything away from Burris stuff either. Hope this post doesnt offend. I have read your posts to others and Im very impressed with how you handle issues for the guys that own Burris products.  Watching you stand behind and make right the very few problem scopes that have come up goes a long way with me and how Im going to make my decision in the future. I plan on getting one just holding out now that you mentioned their may be some improvements the FFII.

No offense taken.  I'm glad you posted that.  I wasn't aware of that version so it was educational.

I may have jumped the gun on any new FastFire developments.  What I should have said to everyone was that improvements have been discussed and my requests have been deemed either possible or impossible.  I've not been given any word that anything is actually happening at this time.  I turned in my list of improvements and they said "yes we can do that or no we can't do that."  The didn't say "yes we are doing that or no we aren't doing that."  Please don't have the impression that there will be something in the near future.  I simply don't know if there will be or not.

If/when something happens you guys will be the first to know.  Sorry for hijacking your thread.   ;)
