I have these 2 Lot #'s
5P-37PN736- I shot this lot # last year and really like it.
5P-10PJ593 - I bought this one a few weeks ago at Bass Pro and have not shot it.
I was curios if anyone has shot both of these lot #'s and if so which one shoots the best?

Well, I shot my 20 today. Wanted to make sure the FF was still on. I shot two shells of last years lot #s and got 195 & 183 in a 10" circle at 40 yards. I love this shell and Sumtoy .562 choke combo. Deadly on the turks.
I purchased a box of the new lot# 5P-10P3593 the other day and wanted to try and see how they compare. I ended getting 129 in a 10" circle at 40 yards. A decrease of 34% of shot from the 195 earlier.   I used a bore snake in between each shot twice to keep things sort of consistent. There were large holes in the pattern and just not that all impressive. Wanted to give anybody a heads up who is looking to shoot the new Federal lot #. I hope you have better luck with them than I did. Luckily, I have quite a few boxes of the older lot #s.
First pics is the old lot # and then the new lot#

5P-10PJ593 is not new. That's the same lot I was getting when I bought shells last summer. My M2 hits in the 170's with those shells and the SumToy.

The 5P-10P3593 were new (as in new to me) this year at the Bass Pro, where I got them. I'm sure different guns and choke combos got better results, unfortunately mine did not.

The ones I just ordered are 5V-10UM009. I got 122 in a 10 @ 40 with my Remington 870 26" sporting a Carlson's .575 choke. The barrel was not polished and had not been deep cleaned. I've done both since but haven't been able to shoot another pattern after doing so. Hopefully it'll pick up about 20-25 pellets.

I understood what you meant, I was just pointing out that they aren't a new 2014 lot before people get worried that there's a new inferior lot out there.  :icon_thumright: I'm surprised they aren't working well for you, most people have had good luck with them in setups with the SumToy.

Thanks, alloutdoors. I have about 7 or 8 boxes of the 5P-37PN736 and when those run out I'll try try the other lot#s again. I'm sure after some tweaking, I can get better numbers. If not, I might try loading TSS.

I see dead turkeys in both those patterns

Where on the box do you find the lot number?

The lot number is on the inside of one of the lids.

Thanks.  Anyone know about lot 5V-10UM009 in the Fed HWT 7's?

I have two boxes. I shot one and it was even but numbers were a tad lower than I expected. I've deep cleaned and polished my barrel since (neither had been done prior). Hopefully, the #'s will improve when I get a chance to shot another one.

Has anyone shot 5Q-37PN736?  I got some of the 5P-10PJ593 from BPS the other day.

I shot the 5P-10PJ593 lot # today. I got 138 in the 10 @40, and it was not very even. It had some hole in it similar to the pattern pic of this lot # earlier in this post. This lot did not shoot nearly as well as the 5p-37PN736 in my sons 20.
