Looks like H13 is $6 a shell now. With Nitros at $8 a shell and me only having 1 H13 shell left I'm going to make the switch. I know its been discussed before and I'm going to do some more reading but I looking for anyone who has fired one of the shells below from a 870. I plan on using a 870 with a .665 Indian Creek. I'm also going to give Nitro a call but would appreciate any info. Will be using straight #7s. Not concerned about kick.

H51013A  3.5" 2 1/4oz 1,200fps
H510H     3.5" 2 1/4oz 1,240fps
H517       3.5" 2 7/16oz $1,200fps

H51013A works in my 870 very well.

They should all work fine, just DON'T shoot one out of a Double Bull Blind without hearing protection.  The constant ringing in my right ear reminds me of that every night before I go to bed.

I understand they will all work. H13 worked too but I'm always wanting better. Just looking for which people have seen the most even and highest count patterns with. The heaviest load interests me but have read things here from people who know far more than me about reloading that they have some concerns. I would think the 2.25oz loads would pattern pretty similar with just some added kick with one but I don't know. Still waiting on a recommendation from Nitro.

Had a buddy try the 2 7/16 load in straight 7s and the Hevi 13 3.5 2.25 oz out patterned them.  I am going to try the 2.25 oz loads when ever my hevi supply runs dry.  Good luck.

Shot the 2.25 3.5 4x5x7's in both loads. One load was a little hotter than the other. The ones with the black wax on the end at the time, slower load, shot better patterns out of a number of guns. No experience with the straight 7's. 40 yd patterns were amazing with the 4x5x7's. I made the switch to H13 due to the price several years ago before the increase in H13.

2-7/16 oz didn't pattern as well for me in SBE II or 870 in 4x5x7 or straight 7's as the 2-1/4 oz loads did. It will punish you shoulder. Might work great in 835 with big bore?

No, that is what my friend shot them in, a 935. Even tried the .695 mad max with them and the Hevi13 2.25 oz still out shot them.

Still waiting on a final response from Nitro but from the way I'm reading this the 2.25oz 1,200fps load is what I'm leanng toward. Thanks everyone.

That is what I plan to get for the 12 Ga.

These are shot out of my SBE 2 with a .670 Rhino choke at a taped 40 yards.  These are the 2 7/16 #7's.  Don't see how it could get much better than this.
