Man oh man, what a world we live in. So much turmoil so much pain and suffering, spirits under constant attack, what are to do?
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Let's understand one thing, physical pain and suffering are two things we will not be able to avoid in this world, death and destruction are another two things that we will not avoid. Over the past two weeks there has been so much going on around us, some of us have been directly affected by what has happened, some of us are affected spiritually, finding it hard to pray, hard to imagine winning over such an adversary.....yep we are fighting against evil ...
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Who is it who feeds these disasters? Who is fanning the flames of fear? It is Satan....his influence has detoured many a person's soul straight to the depths of hell, because so many have fallen prey to his wicked and sneaky ways. Why? Because they gave up the battle, they threw in the towel, stepped off the straight and narrow to travel the broad path to destruction, and Satan kept whispering in the minds " go ahead destroy, kill, steal....they deserve it!"
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. It is time we take our stand, on our knees. Seek the basics of Christian living. Deny Satan the opportunity to unravel our lives, and there are steps that we can take to do so. To overcome the evil, to conquer that which seems unconquerable.
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; no soldier in their right mind would go into battle not prepared. They would know the truth behind what they are about to face, their true nature, their true desires and by knowing what they are facing they have the upper hand. What is it we are facing today, puppets controlled by the strings of deception under Satan's control, that is the truth. Having the protection of Righteousness of Christ is like walking into a knife fight with a tank....nothing formed by man or conceived in the minds of men can come against it and win. You cannot have this protection without Christ and if you have Christ on your side.........then we have to put on the face of peace, gentle and merciful peace, console those hurt, share the gospel with those suffering and lost, bring about a change in their lives like your life was changed, this is how we enlist soldiers for the Army of God...and none of this would be possible without Faith, imagine Faith as a huge giant hand, as you go forward in the world, every time a fiery dart of evil is cast your way, it (faith) catches it and destroys it before it can influence you. This Faith can remove mountains of fear, it can provide a safe haven in the midst of any war, any storm, any time....One thing an enemy is afraid of is a soldier who will not take defeat, a soldier who will stand firm, a soldier who is not ashamed to wear their colors, with pride, because it is these soldiers who know how to stand.....your helmet of Salvation requires your wearing it proudly into Spiritual Warfare, Satan has to flee when such Faith is displayed...and your weapon of choice, the Sword of God, His Holy Word, nothing can defeat it, it is infallible and true, it is Holy and time cannot erase it from history, it is all powerful, all consuming, and their not not anything Satan can do or say to change that, this is why he works so hard to influence those who do not know the power of God and the Righteousness of Christ.
praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints Ephesians 6:11-18 and all this is kept together by the spiritual glue found in the words of our prayer. Earnest prayers for and earnest God, sincere, heart wrenching prayers for those who are suffering and the lost, and prayers for the Saints to remain strong in the midst of despair, prayers that will encourage the lost to turn from their wicked ways, prayers that will fuel a Righteous Riot, that will spread from one end of this world to the other, saving souls and changing the swords of battle to plow shares of peace.
