Tips for hunting new property?

I hunt in south central Kansas and I have a few different properties to hunt. They aren't huge (quarter section is the biggest) but they look great for turkeys. There are plenty of turkeys in neighboring creek systems in the area. As far as I know right now, turkeys are not actually roosting on these properties but I have found A FEW tracks. Since I have school and sports from 8 am till 5:30 pm, my mid morning opportunities are limited to Saturdays only.

How would you go about blind hunting? Should just commit to a good looking area and call from time to time with a couple decoys out? Most of the hunting I have done in the past has been off the roost or ambushing with some calling. I just seem to lose faith when I sit down to hunt and I can't see or hear any turkeys!

My suggestion would be Run and Gun.  Cover as much ground as fast as you can until you have to leave for school.  On the weekend, I'd do the same thing until you get a better feel for these properties and where the birds are.
