To whom that may not know, I was lucky enough to have won Sam's three prototype call give away. All mouth calls.
So in all fairness, I want to make a report. A report for two reasons.
1. I think it's due.
2. Because the man gave his product away.

I received a 2 reed ghost cut, a three reed ghost cut, three reed V cut. I gave all several opportunities to impress to each. One, way more than others.
I am not a good mouth caller at all! I can, if required, make it happen with a mouth call. I do use a mouth call to call and too add to the party. Everything wants more than one chic! I have hunted with one for 35 years, and have harvested many birds with only a mouth call. I do prefer a slate/pot call and that is my go to call.
With the truth being said about the reporter. The three reed split V is an awesome call. The "Gold Digger" has its place in everyone's vest, harness, or man purse. It is soft, which means you can call soft with it. It will go loud with some air but it doesn't take much. It is easy to operate! It produces a pitch I like, I look for in a mouth call.
I have shared this with a couple friends whom have ordered and received, all enjoy.
The ghost cuts I think didn't make Sam's cut? I could not produce a sound I like with them...Except...the three reed ghost cut turned upside down made the nicest, soft, quite tree talk.
Thanks Sam! I have enjoyed the call, I have packed it from VA, to WV, ND, WY, SD and back to WV today. Probably make it back to VA this week too.
