Has anybody here  messed with a 20guage 3" Charles Daly Field Hunter. My buddy is selling his that has been shot a grand total of 5 times, and its a decent deal at $150. Didnt know if anybody had tried making one of these a turkey gun or not. Thinking about trying it anyway. Any feedback from you 20 ga experts would be appreciated.

Wouldn't hurt to try it out for that price.
You have plenty of options for chokes so shouldn't be hard to find something that will make it a killer.

It is always good to have another gun in your cabinet anyhow :you_rock:

yeah i went and got it today, time to stock up on stuff for it and start trying out all my combinations. got to be atleast one setup that will be a killer.... now just to figure out which one

Slickyboyboo has one and runs some handloads thru it. Do a search for his posts.

I believe he is getting some good numbers and patterns out of his too.
Check out his post :icon_thumright:

i had one. bought brand new. on the 5th shot the bolt blew apart. had it fixed and sold it. not saying every one is that way and every manufacture has had a problem or two.
