Well the weather wasn't the greatest, but I got it done on Friday, about 55 degrees with light wind and some drizzle thrown in just for good measure!






As you can see the Hevi 13 was the winner at 40 yards, but the Feds still had 15+ in the spine and brain. How do they say it...dead is dead. My only concern with the hevishots as compared to the Feds is the weight (12g/cc to 15.2g/cc) and velocity (1090fps to 1300fps) difference  At 30 yards the feds are scary,could rip a gobblers head off or miss him pretty easy! I may shoot a few more on a nice still day. I do like the Mueller sight.

Have a Carlson's choke and mueller sight great combinations. Each load at the respective ranges looks like a smoked bird to me (pun intended).

I would go with the federal #7s, although less hits at 40 yds, they will hold a tight pattern longer, and will hit waaaaay harder than the Hevi 13s could ever think of.
