Here is a pattern from my 835, just thought it would be cool to see where everyone else is pattern wise.  Mine is not the tightest and I had some that were tighter with other chokes, but this one is very even and plenty enough to 50yds.  Gotta love them old StarDot's, I know where one more is.

24" old skewl nonported 835
3.5" 2.25oz Hevi13 #6
.676" StarDot choke - $5 choke
43yds
33 degrees  - slight wind
170- 10"
298 - 19"
As always better patterns in better weather.  :)

Its hard to get decent patterns at those temps.  :agreed:

Tom, that there is cold temp to pattern in.  Those Star Dot chokes do seem to do well.  I still can't believe I gave my other brand new one away to a buddy at work.  But he said he couldn't never get his 835 to shoot well.  So I gave him the choke and some Hevi-13 #7's to try as well.  I told him now your 835 will shoot.  Reloader on here was the one to tell me about the Star Dot chokes.  So I listened and he was right.  Here's one of the best patterns I have shot out of mine with Hevi-13 3.5 #7's.  I wished I would have kept the 20" pattern.  But this choke consistently shoots very tight patterns.  I actually bought this choke from a nice guy on here for $20 shipped.  I think this one was shot around 70 degrees.  The other choke I bought off gunbroker for $10 shipped.

I know drum has shot some super patterns with his 835 and .675 Indian Creek BDS choke with the Win Xtended Range 3.5" 2oz #6 loads.  Maybe he will post them.  But his patterns are some of the best raelly that I have seen for that load and #6's.  His patterns would be hard to beat and so would his gun.  I still like looking at them.  There is another guy I think who goes by Skeeterbait that has some great patterns as well.  VAHUNTER has some great ones too. Those 835's do shoot well.

Tom,

I think one of the reasons the Star Dot chokes shot so well and very few choke makers today will do this is that they had an extremely long parallel.  Stuart at Indian Creek looked at the one before I gave it away and he said it had like a 2.5" parallel.  I even let him shoot it with some Hevi-13 loads.  He said it shot very well.
