We stopped by gander mtn. 2day after work to look around and we seen the
Rem wingmaster hd 3" 1 5/8 #6's for $6.00 abox...... we got all they had!!  

any 1 ever shot this ammo and with what gun/choke ?

Hey Brian,

I've shot them in both 12 gauge and 20 gauge with a few different sizes of shot. They are unbuffered loads and use the same wad that they use in the steel shot loads, so there is a lot of extra capacity in the wads, filled with "beads".

I've tried several different brands of chokes and different exit diameters and they will kill turkeys and waterfowl but you just don't see the patterns that you see with the Hevi-13 shotshells.

Still at that price you can't go wrong, even if you just salvage the shot.

Hell yeah! I'd  have bought every last box they had. Just for ducks and geese over dekes.  Sweet find!!!

@ 6.00 a box you can shoot mice or somthing but i couldnt get them to pattern very well in anything I have.

Hey guys I did alot of looking around today and found only one place that has them on clearance. They are the turkey loads in either 4 or 6 shot. Said they have between 40-50 boxes left. They are in 5 count boxes and 6.98 a box. If anyone is interested PM me and ill give you the info.

By the time Gold Hunter gets through remodeling them they will out shoot about anything you can buy without a prescription

I actually got the 6's to pattern pretty decent for me in one of my 835's that's set up for just turkey.  The fours look like waterfowl patterns from 20 yards on out.  Not spectacular, but for a light recoiling load it'll get the job done for my old man or a kid out to 40 MAX.  Beyond that the patterns trully do look more like waterfowl or upland patterns.  Now for ducks and geese...the 6's WRECK em in the deeks and the 4's will make a goose look like it had the air pulled out from under his wings at those fringe ranges beyond your spread.

Our local Gander Mtn has them on clearance for a little over $5.  I picked up some boxes to mess around with.  Probably just use them for waterfowl or just hold on to for some time in the future.
