The $25K and $27K Gibsons are obviously exceptions rather than rules.  Those prices were for (extremely rare) carved calls.  A nice, clean, representative example of a "plain old Simmons Hardware Gibson" should come in between $1500 and $2500, I would think.

Just my guess.
