A little to red for  Macassar, I think dark Cocobola.

Second thought, Lewis was allergic to a lot of the Rosewoods,  I guess I just don't know!!

Second the dark Cocobolo, and he didn't do a lot of them.  Also unique is the rough finish, don't see near as many of those as compared to the gloss finish.  Lined mouthpiece and rough finish on the same call is even more rare.

He doesn't make cocobolo...or made very few.
He was allergic to it.

Looks like desert ironwood
