Loaded my first 410 loads a couple weeks back and got out to shoot them yesterday. I have been shooting apex #9 for a couple of years so my gun was sighted in for those, being as I was down to 1, I went ahead and sighted in with my hand loads and I was very happy with the even pattern at 35 yards. It was a little costly to get everything to load and I still haven't made a "pretty" shell but I think they can be made a little nicer once I find some new hulls. I have some backordered at ballistic products but they have not came in yet

Who would have ever thought twenty years ago that we would be hunting with .410's and getting solid patterns such as what you are currently getting? Technology has come a long ways. You will kill a lot of birds with that load.

I agree, I was talking to my dad a couple weeks ago about how I started just to say I killed one with a 410 now it's my favorite gun to hunt with. I had also never loaded a shot shell in my life until I wanted to try #10 shot

"Who would have ever thought twenty years ago that we would be hunting with .410's" That is so true!
I remember back 45 years ago the norm was you hunted turkeys with a 12 gauge period! I remember old timers preaching that you couldn't kill a turkey with anything but a 12 gauge.
Technology has come a long way giving us better optics, chokes and ammo.
