Ever had a box turn into a jake/gobbler?

Seems my box has gotten more deep and "yawk-y." To where I can't even make a nice crisp sound that sounds more like (what I think) a hen should sound like.

Just makes me wonder if I should use it differently now than trying to strike a gobble when covering ground looking for sign.

In other words, instead of making a few cutts and 3-5 yelp sequences on the box, should I instead use the box to give 1-2 "jake/gobbler yelps" as a follow-up to a sequence on a pot?

In even fewer words: should I use it any differently than any other box?
