Remington 870 .410 tss turkey model shooting Apex Ninja, Comp-n-Choke .385, ghost ring sights.

This gun has been some work and my initial patterns were quite poor. Had to scrub the barrel a lot to finally get these. Made a sight adjustment after the first 25 yard shot but wanted to show it since that was a clean barrel. You can already see the difference in the 2nd shot. 3rd shot was at 40 yards.

Next time I'll start at 40 with a clean barrel. Havent tried the factory choke yet either.

Which Gun

Glad it's coming around for you.  Can definitely see it likes a clean barrel.

Dang it. ! Why don't they all just go ahead and shoot good at 40 ... These small bore jokers are the most finicky of the bunch !

Considering Remington marketed this for tss, little consideration was given to what's important to effectively shoot it. I own three 870s with smooth as glass barrels. This one has rough machining marks, discoloration where the lug was soldered. Honing would solve issues but for the $600+ price tag it should've come that way out of the box. Plus no sling studs but that's another gripe.  :P

Otherwise, its a pleasure to shoot. Decent trigger, comfortable to shoulder and the camo blends well out here. Also no shot left in the wads that were dropping at around 10 yards.

Big Green ain`t what she use to be. I hope Remington makes a come back. It`s in my neck of the woods.

All that scrubbing paid off. My first with a 410. Thinking of patterning a Jebs xxfull next.

RED NECK

Great bird! How do you like the gun? Have you tested any other chokes or shells?
